The Guy Gray FR-12 series of plastic and now metal fire rated outlet boxes addresses any fire code outlet box installation needs. FR-12 series boxes are Warnock Hersey certified and have a 1 and 2 hr fire rating. With the Intumescent pad attached to the back of the outlet box, no special wrapping or sheet fabrication is needed. The FR-12 outlet boxes are available in washing machine, ice maker, gas, AAV and auxiliary outlet boxes with most major valve connections available. FR-12 design specification sheets are very clear as to installation requirements and model number approval, leaving no doubt about compliance with code inspectors.
