This Ames 4 inch, globe pattern, class 150 flanged, fire pressure reducing control valve is designed to automatically reduce a fluctuating higher inlet pressure to a constant lower downstream pressure regardless of varying flow rates. The quick closing action of the valve prevents possible damaging high inlet pressure from passing through the valve to downstream piping. This valve is UL listed for a 50-165 psi reduced pressure adjustment range. This valve includes epoxy coated ductile iron and corrosion resistant stainless steel stem and seat ring.
