This 2 1/2 inch lead free reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and or backpressure. Ideal for protection in continuous pressure piping applications and at cross-connections identified as health hazards and for contaminants at the service line entrance. This assembly consists of a cast iron body, non-rising stem resilient seated gate valves, top mounted test cocks, two in-line independent check valves, captured springs and replaceable check seats with an internal relief valve for reduced space requirements. The coating on this backflow assembly uses ArmorTek®, a patented 3-part advanced epoxy coating system designed to limit both microbial induced (MIC) and exposed metal substrate corrosion. This backflow assembly includes flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When paired with an add-on connection kit, the sensor is activated to relay alerts for potential flooding events. Connection kit options include BMS, cellular communication, and the Sensor Control Monitor which enables integration with BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.
