This 4 inch flood protection valve prevents catastrophic property damage due to relief valve discharge and/or a blocked or overwhelmed floor drain during normal relief valve operation. It detects continuous and potential water discharge from the reduced pressure zone backflow preventer and shuts down the valve in case of an abnormality. It wirelessly alerts the user via text message, phone call or email.
