Sioux Chief 685 Series press fitting adapters shall be used where necessary in cold water distribution systems. Adapters shall be used for mechanical (press fit) connection to copper tube end only. PVC socket connection shall be designed for solvent weld connection to PVC pipe, fully surrounded and protected by copper tube and employ an o-ring seal. Adapters are not designed for brazed or solder connections.
