This 3 inch lead free MasterSeries(R) configurable design double check detector backflow preventer assembly prevents the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and or backpressure. It is designed to be installed on fire protection systems to provide indications of system leakage or unauthorized water use. It has the capability of N and V configurations that reduce the installation footprint and reduce installation costs. This assembly consists of epoxy coated ductile iron body, two in-line independent check valves, replaceable check seats, ball valve test cocks, gallons per minute metered bypass, and outside stem and yoke resilient seated domestic gate valves. The maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12.06 bar). The coating on this backflow assembly uses ArmorTek(R), a patented 3-part advanced epoxy coating system designed to limit both microbial induced (MIC) and exposed metal substrate corrosion.
