One-bowl counter-mounted kitchen and bar sinks without faucets are "dropped" into a hole cut out of a commercial kitchen or bar countertop. They have drain and deck holes for installing faucet spouts and handles. Also called self-rimming, these sinks have a rolled and finished rim, or protruding edge, that sits above the countertop and overhangs the hole in the counter to keep the sink in place.
