The gas control controls the water temperature and flow of fuel gas to the burner. Water heating gas valves are designed for universal replacement applications in water tanks. All models feature a built-in, non-cycling energy cut-off (ECO) system to shut-off all gas to the water heater in case of excessive water temperatures. Be sure to always search using the serial number of your water heater to make sure you select the correct gas control for your water heater.
