BOW CPVC FLOWGUARD GOLD® tubing and fittings are manufactured to ASTM standard D2846 (standard specification for chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride) (CPVC) plastic hot and cold water distribution systems) and CSA standard B137.6 (CPVC pipe, tubing and fittings for hot and cold water distribution systems). BOW CPVC FLOWGUARD GOLD® tubing and fittings are third party certified NSF standard to the CPVC performance standards noted above as well as NSF standard 14 (plastic piping components and related materials) and NSF standard 61 (drinking water system components-health effects). The material in the manufacture of the tubing and fittings meet the physical properties for CPVC class 23447 as specified in ASTM standard D1784 (standard specification for rigid poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) compounds and chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride) (CPVC) compounds) as required by the CSA and ASTM CPVC performance standards. BOW CPVC FLOWGUARD GOLD® tubing is produced from 1/2 in through 2 in in SDR 11 dimensions with CTS (copper tube size) outside diameters. SDR or standard dimensional ratio, means the wall thickness is directly proportional to the outside diameter. This results in all diameters carrying the same pressure capability. The system including joint, has a rated continuous working pressure of 100 psi at 180 deg F and 400 psi at 73 deg F.
