This 3 inch lead free MasterSeries(R) in-line design double check valve backflow preventer assembly is designed for non-health hazard applications and prevents the backflow of pollutants that are objectionable but not toxic, from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and or backpressure. It is ideal for protection of non-health hazard cross-connections or for containment at the service line entrance. This assembly consists of an epoxy coated ductile iron body, flanged end connections, two in-line independent check valves, replaceable stainless steel check seats, test cocks, and non-rising stem resilient wedge gate valves. The maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12.06 bar). The coating on this backflow assembly uses ArmorTek(R), a patented 3-part advanced epoxy coating system designed to limit both microbial induced (MIC) and exposed metal substrate corrosion.
