Sioux Chief 685 Series press fitting adapters shall be used where necessary in hot or cold water distribution systems. Adapters shall be used for mechanical (press fit) connection to copper tube end only. CPVC socket connection shall be designed for solvent weld connection to CPVC pipe, fully surrounded and protected by copper tube and employ an o-ring seal. Adapters are not designed for brazed or solder connections.
