Designed with separate valve and drain boxes, the Water-Tite®™ MultiBox™ fire-rated washing machine outlet box with auxiliary drain box gives homeowners expanded functionality for laundry rooms. This dual-box unit has a valve box with a DWV (drain, waste and vent) drain to capture hose leaks and a drain box with an optional 2 in drain. This outlet box unit is ETL certified and is fire-rated for both one and two hour rated walls. It features an intumescent pad attached to the back of each box that swells in the event of fire, acting as an insulator to prevent excessive heat from passing through the structure. This dual-box system features integrated mounting flanges for easy installation, as well as top and bottom stabilizer-bar slots and nail slots for optional extra support. This outlet box unit comes with two pre-installed supply valves that are durable forged brass and have an anti-rotational design, making them long-lasting and easy-to-access and use. The valves feature hammer arresters that absorb sudden pressure changes to reduce stress on the plumbing system, providing continuous and maintenance-free protection against water hammer. The included faceplates (6-1/2 in W x 6-7/8 in H) are interchangeable with all MultiBox outlet boxes and are able to accommodate up to two sheets of 5/8 in drywall. Choose from a standard pack with an attached faceplate or a contractor pack with an unattached faceplate.
