The Water-Tite® MultiBox™ fire-rated dishwasher and commercial ice maker outlet box gives contractors a versatile option for installing two popular appliances in homes or businesses. This outlet box is ETL certified and is fire-rated for both 1 hr and two-2 hr rated walls. It has an intumescent pad attached to the back of the box that swells in the event of fire, acting as an insulator to prevent excessive heat from passing through the structure. This outlet box has a pre-installed lead-free quarter-turn brass valve that features an anti-rotational design, making it easy-to-access and use. The valve's integrated hammer arrester absorbs sudden pressure changes to reduce stress on the plumbing system, providing continuous and maintenance-free protection against water hammer. The box can also be inverted to utilize an optional 2 in drain. This outlet box has integrated-mounting flanges for easy installation, as well as top and bottom stabilizer bar slots and nail slots for optional extra support. It comes with a faceplate that measures 6-1/2 in wide by 6-7/8 in high, can accommodate up to two sheets of 5/8 in drywall and is interchangeable with all MultiBox™ outlet boxes.
