This fresh air appliance, designed for multi-family residential applications, brings a continuous supply of fresh air into the premises while exhausting an equal amount of contaminated air out. As such, the energy recovery core transfers both heat and moisture from the outgoing exhaust air to the incoming fresh air, reducing the energy required to condition it. The FIT 120E houses an energy recovery core that is constructed from water vapor transport durable polymer membrane and is highly permeable to humidity. In addition, the ERV core is freeze tolerant and water washable. The core, filters, fans and electrical panel can be accessed easily from the access panel. Multi-speed operation fits an abundance of airflow needs. The external electrical box allows for quick and easy access. Mount these appliances within a ceiling or wall, made to "fit" within bulkheads or over false ceilings. Thanks to the no drain application, less maintenance is required as well. The appliance is equipped with a preset frost prevention sequence that is activated at an outdoor air temperature of 14 deg F (-10 deg C) and lower. During the sequence, the supply blower shuts down and the exhaust blower switches into high speed to maximize the effectiveness of the frost prevention method. The appliance then returns to normal operation to continue the cycle. The FIT 120E comes with two washable electrostatic panel type air filters and metal collars with rubber gaskets to ensure a tight connection on rigid ductwork.
